Abstract
The LEaPP Scope and Sequence provides a structured guide for explicit and systematic teaching of phonics, morphology, syllabification, and word study. The document is arranged in order from basic concepts (BC) to advanced concepts (AC) to strengthen orthographic mapping skills and support the development of reading and spelling skills. The Scope and Sequence outlines 88 concepts and allows educators to track skills that have been taught and mastered in reading and spelling for each learner. This document can follow the learner as they advance through levels of formal education.
