Purdue Literacy Education and Practice Project (Purdue-LEaPP)
Purpose
The Purdue Literacy Education and Practice Project (Purdue-LEaPP) was established by Chenell Loudermill and Tamar Greenwell to help address the local and national call for overall improved literacy outcomes in school-age children through innovative, evidence-based education and training. The project focuses on 1) service provision for learners who are at risk for and/or those who struggle with language and literacy development (i.e., persons diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder, Dyslexia) and 2) providing more supportive and systematic ways to increase knowledge and skills in the science of reading for aspiring and current educators and professionals. Purdue-LEaPP seeks to provide access to resources and education in the areas of practice, collaboration, and research.
