Abstract

The presentation aims to unwrap the stories of writing center tutors with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), to better understand what happens in their sessions, and to explore how they conduct tutoring with different clients. This talk presents data from a pilot survey of existing tutors and clients, in conjunction with case study interviews with a current peer tutor and client, both with ADHD. Findings focus on ways to empower tutors and writers with ADHD, further advocate for writer and tutor accessibility, and help administrators and practitioners advance tutor education around disability literacy in writing centers.
