Abstract

This presentation will review the strengths and weaknesses of airport fences in restricting wildlife access to Airport Operations Areas at Indiana airports. Additional topics will include FAA-approved wildlife exclusion fencing designs and general guidelines on fence gap evaluation and maintenance. Airport fence evaluations can be key to obtaining airport improvement project funding in the cases of inadequate fencing.
