Abstract
Indianapolis’s Central Avenue Historic Arch over Fall Creek was in immediate need of rehabilitation. Due to the historic nature of the structure, coordination was required with all of the state agencies to resolve issues and conflicts while maintaining the original integrity. We will share lessons learned as they relate to the complexity of the design with regard to the historic arch, the mapping of stones, and the plan details required to identify all features.
