Abstract
This presentation will provide information that leads to better planning and establishment of safe, successful, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally conscious highway projects integrating trees and other vegetation in ways that fit the needs of the plant material, project, and community. Case studies of successful highway and roadway projects in Indiana that address common project challenges such as planning, partnerships, and positive perception will be discussed.
