Description
This qualitative study examines how K–12 educational leaders perceive the opportunities and challenges associated with artificial intelligence (AI) as it’s implemented in school districts. Through in-depth interviews with superintendents, principals, and district leaders, the study explores how leaders frame AI’s emerging role, how they navigate organizational readiness, and how they support staff and students during implementation. Grounded in Technology Leadership Theory (Dexter & Richardson, 2019), the study highlights the leadership and technology practices that support sustainable, ethical, and instructionally aligned AI adoption in public schools.
