University Research Core Facility Boilerplate Descriptions
Purdue Research Cores provide access to instrumentation, equipment, and facilities (including databases), software, or professional expertise in the design and conduct of specialized measurements, research collaboration, and analysis and interpretation of data. To be considered a university-level research core, research resources should be broadly available to investigators and faculty teams across the campus and have a business plan or model such as academic unit/center backing, recharge, or project-by-project funding.
This series contains descriptions of the Purdue Research Core Facilities and provides citable text for inclusion—either in its entirety or of pertinent portions—in proposals submitted to funding agencies. These descriptions are searchable by keyword and include a recommended citation that will prevent proposals from being flagged for plagiarism.
