Abstract
Today’s upcoming millennial generation is different from previous generations in many ways. Their differences include their use of technology, patience, attention span, and most importantly their information sourcing when looking for colleges. The millennial generation is used to and expects a barrage of quick results. Therefore, the Internet provides them with a primary means for information sourcing while previous generations more commonly used paper and campus tours in their searches. A study was conducted comparing and contrasting Purdue University and its eleven peer institutions websites as well as their websites overall effectiveness based on the given criteria; User Friendly, Interactive, Speed, Font Size, Use of Photos/Video, Presentation, and Content. This study was able to identify best practices and provides recommendations for Purdue University to improve their website.
