Abstract
This study details the design and evaluation of a high-tension cable barrier system for US 31 in Hamilton and Tipton Counties. Custom layouts and multiple design iterations addressed substandard medians, underground utilities, and turn lane conflicts. Modifications were reviewed with the Standards committee to comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Field checks and staking finalized the design.
