Abstract
The use of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) for steel bridge repair has been pioneered through a collaboration of the Connecticut DOT, the University of Connecticut, and CHA Consulting, Inc. To date, three applications have been developed and completed. These applications include repairing of corroded steel beam/girder ends, improving flexural capacity of girder flanges, and strengthening of truss gusset plates. This presentation will cover the development and implementation of all three applications.
