Abstract
This session will explore various cutting-edge technologies that agencies are currently deploying to enhance work zone safety. The discussed innovations will include CV applications that use the Work Zone Data Exchange (WZDx), machine vision technology to detect workers and alert drivers, Autonomous Truck Mounted Attenuators (ATMAs), and Automated Work Zone Speed Enforcement (AWZSE). These advancements aim to significantly reduce crashes and improve overall safety for both workers and drivers.
