Abstract
The US 33 over the Blue River Bridge Replacement project is the first INDOT project of its kind, and a great example of Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC). The project used prefabricated steel beam modular super- structure units with prefabricated substructure units, approach slabs, terminal joints, and “steel-like” UHPC for the 8-inch closure pours. Correcting the substan- dard roadway superelevation added complexity to the design and detailing. Join us to learn more.
