Abstract
The INDOT-ASCE Structures Committee has been reviewing semi-integral end bent details to improve constructability and long-term durability and reduce future maintenance issues. We will discuss some of the background history of why new details were needed; when the new details will be incorporated in the design manual; our experience using the modified details on I-69 Section 6.5; and provide tips for plan development.
