Event Description/Abstract
In partnership with INDOT, Purdue University constructed two small-scale power transfer pavement sections at the Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) facility in spring of 2021 to assess construction procedures and analyze the pavement’s mechanical and thermal behavior. This presentation delves into the performance of both sections to date and explores their performance mechanics in preparation for the upcoming construction of the 1/4th mile DWPT road pilot project on US-231 (West Lafayette, IN) in the spring of 2024.
