Abstract
Split into four design-bid-build contracts, I-69 Sections 6.1 through 6.4 used a range of pavement designs, including full depth HMA, full depth PCCP, major structural overlay, and alternate bid pavements. These designs addressed low volume S-lines, mainline interstate pavement, and everything in between. Each design accommodated unique conditions within the Section 6 corridor to produce a cost-effective, long-lasting solution for the conversion of SR-37 to I-69 from Martinsville to south of Indianapolis.
