Abstract
CDM Smith is developing an operational concept and test plan for FHWA to put truck platoons in revenue service in a multistate corridor. This session presents how to facilitate cross-state collaboration while considering reg-ulatory differences between states, user needs gathering through workshops and interviews, equipment considerations for trucks, working with a host fleet, truck platooning performance measures and the data needed to support them, and human factors in truck platooning.
