Abstract
NIMBY (not in my backyard) attitudes in the United States have shifted over the past decade, particularly in communities that are embracing trails and active living components to attract residents and businesses. Carmel, Indiana, is one such forward-thinking city. This session examines the environmental, social, and economic impacts of trail-oriented development surrounding the Monon Greenway.
