Abstract
Bridge skew can significantly add to the complexity of the design, fabrication, and construction. Attendees will gain an understanding the effects of skew on the behavior of steel bridges and how it influences the development of the framing arrangement, bearing configuration, detailing, and fabrication. Discussion includes the importance of a 3D analysis model to accurately predict all component forces, deflections, and rotations.
