Abstract
Transportation helps shape an area’s economic vibrancy, as well as the health and quality of life of residents and visitors. But to have that positive impact, transportation planning must be about more than vehicular movement, delay, and volume counts. Using the City of Indianapolis’s recently adopted pedestrian plan as a model, we will discuss how transportation planning continues to evolve to develop an effective system that works for all users.
