This presentation examines the role played by working memory on L2 learning in nontraditional students. To this end, research studies in the fields of psycholinguistics and cognitive psychology are reviewed and findings are analyzed to uncover meaningful relationship between WM and L2 learning. Finally, teaching guidelines and strategies are suggested.
