Abstract
Éstas son respuestas a preguntas dirigidas por escrito al eminente especialista y pionero en el sonido cinematográfico español, Antonio Bloch. Aquí Bloch nos da un repaso sucincto por su carrera e influencias, e incluye un resumen telegráfico, y fascinante de la historia del sonido cinematográfico en España. La entrevista pone atención especial en los resultados del doblaje, y por ende, los efectos de la censura franquista en la tecnología y el arte. Cuenta sus experiencias en la Academia de las Artes y de las Ciencias de España, y comenta el estado actual del gremio de sonido. Este proyecto fue subvencionado por la Purdue University, y está dedicado a Antonio Illán y Leopoldo “Polo” González Aledo. Las preguntas las hizo Patricia Hart.
English Translation:
These are answers to written questions posed to eminent Spanish sound professional and pioneer, Antonio Bloch. He gives a succinct discussion of his own career and influences, and a also masterful yet telegraphic look at the history of sound design in Spain, including the effects of Francoist fascism on technology and art. This project was supported by a sabbatical from Purdue University, and is dedicated to Antonio Illán and Leopoldo “Polo” González Aledo.
