Abstract

The paleontological collections of the University Pierre et Marie Curie (more than 800 000 samples, 4 x 10^6 data) present a complex structure relevant to nine themes: Classification, Stratigraphy, Geography, Environment, Paleontological Material, Collecting, Bibliography, Storage, Exploitation. The complexity of the data requires a sophisticated model of data structure for archiving in a data bank.
