Abstract
Mrs. Sharita Ware, the 2022 Indiana Teacher of the Year, provides insight on educating K-12 students, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Educators focus on the academic success of students, but ensuring the personal wellbeing of students is equally as important. Lessons learned on supporting students' wellbeings over the pandemic should be transferred into a traditional in-person classroom setting.
