ON DIFFERENTIAL GAMES OF EVASION AND PURSUIT (CAPTURABILITY)
Abstract
Differential Games of Evasion and pursuit are discussed. The games are governed by systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations with general closed and convex terminal set. The notions of evadable sets, capturable sets, evadability, strict evadability and capturability are defined and fundamental results concerning the evadable sets and capturable sets are established. Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for (strict) evadability and capturability are also obtained. Some of these results are strengthened for linear cases.
