Abstract

Using 281 pb-1 of data collected with the CLEO-c detector, we have measured branching fractions and efficiency-corrected absolutely-normalized differential decay rates, [special characters omitted], and the form factors, ƒ+(q 2), for the four semileptonic transitions D 0 → π-e+ν, D+ → π0e +ν, D0 → K -e+ν, and D + → [special characters omitted]. We measure ƒ+(0):Vcd(s): and, assuming the unitarity of the CKM matrix, ƒ+(0) for each mode separately and for isospin-conjugate pairs of modes. Also, our results include measurements of parameters describing the shape of the form factors in several models. The results are compared to the latest predictions from unquenched lattice quantum chromodynamics. Improved measurements of the absolute branching fractions for the four modes and their isospin averages, and measurements of :V cs: and :Vcd: are also reported.
