Coniveau and the generalized Hodge conjecture
Abstract
We prove the functorial property of the coniveau filtration by showing that it is preserved by pushforwards and products and strictly preserved by pullbacks. We also discuss technique and examples which the generalized Hodge conjecture can be checked.
