Development of conjunctive reagents and methodology for regio and stereoselective synthesis of 1,3-dienes, and, Synthetic studies towards the total synthesis of apoptolidin analogues
Abstract
The initial development of novel conjunctive reagents and methodology for regio and stereoselective synthesis of 1,3-dienes and synthetic studies towards the total synthesis of Apoptolidin analogs is described. There are four major projects involved: (1) Design and synthesis of novel conjunctive reagents for construction of 1,3-dienes based on sulfone chemistry; (2) Development of innovative regio and stereoselective desulfonylation method via π-allylpalladium intermediate based on ligand selection; (3) Discovery of metal-ligand mismatched alkylation model of allylic sulfones; (4) Synthetic studies towards the total synthesis of Apoptolidin analogues.
