Synthesis studies on the substituted cycloheptatrienyl sulfones and mycolactone
Abstract
This research project is a part of contiguous chiral carbon catalo (4C) theme, it mainly focused on synthetic applications of cycloheptatrienyl and cyclopentenyl sulfones. All cycloheptatrienyl sulfones have been synthesized and their oxidation reactions under chiral and nonchiral conditions have been investigated. Chiral cyclopentenyl sulfone derivatives has been applied in the study towards the total synthesis of mycolactone.
