Impact of access control on retrieval performance of spatio-temporal data

Hammad Haseeb, Purdue University

Abstract

Rapid advancements in communication, computation and storage technologies over the last several decades have resulted in wide-spread generation and usage of spatio-temporal data. Currently, such data is an essential part of broad range of applications such as health-care, business, environment monitoring etc. The primary objective of this research is to study the effect of access control on retrieval performance of spatio-temporal data. Performance is measured by recall and precision parameter associated with retrieval of data. In particular, we evaluate the effect of access control on cues and objects embedded in spatio-temporal data.
