Description

Computers have beaten the best humans at chess, Go and Jeopardy, but when Jeopardy champion Ken Jennings lost to Watson, he did something no computer can. By saying “ I for one welcome our computer overlords” he made a joke. But could some future version of Watson, or any other AI entity, come up with a funny caption for The New Yorker Caption Contest? In his talk, he will go over what has been learned (a little), and what remains to be found out (a lot), and whether humanity or AI will have the last laugh.
