Opening remarks were delivered by Robert Tally, Indiana FHWA Division Administrator, and Norman Stoner, Illinois FHWA Division Administrator. Subsequent morning presentations covered the national perspective, local perspective and industry perspective on active traffic signal management. The afternoon sessions provided detail on the installation and operation of new traffic signal management techniques. The Indiana Department of Transportation, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Elkhart County, IN, City of Lafayette, IN, and Morgantown, WV, all provided details of the processes used to implement active traffic signal management in their jurisdictions.
