You are invited to submit an abstract for a poster or project to be displayed at the fourth annual Engagement and Service-Learning Summit: Connecting Through Listening & Scholarship, Thursday, February 28, 2019, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., hosted by the Office and Engagement and Purdue Honors College.
This event serves to bring together faculty, students, staff, and community partners to discuss best practices in engagement and service-learning; highlight accomplishments; and increase collaboration opportunities. This year, the event will feature two interactive sessions: a beginning track on critical listening and partnership formation and an advanced track on developing engaged scholarship. A showcase in conjunction with a networking and hors d'oeuvres will conclude the event.
Presenters must be available during the Showcase and Poster/Project Session from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM to answer questions regarding their service-learning and engagement course, poster, and/or project. Posters must be on display for the entire duration of the event. Presenters may re-use a poster or project display from a previous event, develop a new poster or project display, or use the provided poster template. Posters and project displays must fit within the following dimensions: 4 feet by 4 feet (poster board space and table space). Wide format printers can be found at the Wilmeth Active Learning Center (WALC). Poster participants are encouraged to work with their project/course adviser in developing their posters and project displays.
