Abstract
This presentation will examine the goals and design strategies behind two recently awarded design-build contracts for the Revive I-70 project in Wayne County. We will discuss how these contracts showcase contrasting approaches to pavement management and design: reconstruction using extended-service-life pavement and rehabilitating pavement to extend the service life of the original structure. We will also offer insights into INDOT’s evolving pavement design practices.
