Do we need to seal joints? Why is water to cement ratio important? How do we handle utility cuts and patches? Significant advancements in concrete pavement materials and processes have evolved during the past decade; however, fundamental practices in concrete pavement construction remain more important than ever if we want to achieve the desired service life and value for the taxpayer. This session takes us “back to the basics” with appropriate updates on what’s change and what hasn’t changed in concrete materials and construction.
