Abstract
The engineering industry experiences continuous change from advancing software, updated standards and requirements, and—most importantly–a new generation of engineers entering the field with different expectations, communication, and learning styles. Experienced engineers with open minds who welcome questions are key; however, it is still paramount to allow younger engineers to work through problems on their own to gain valuable experience and confidence. This session, led by younger engineers, discusses generational challenges in passing along knowledge.
