Abstract
This presentation will cover public involvement and its impact on bridge designs and aesthetics, design-build best value and why INDOT chose this delivery method, and risks and mitigation strategies impacting the bridge design and construction. Other topics will include innovative materials and construction techniques, either written into the contract by INDOT or implemented by the design-build contractor (DBC); alternative technical concepts and design solutions implemented by the DBC; and construction progress of the bridges.
