GPR and IR in Bridge Program Maintenance and Management
Abstract
Resource International, Inc. (Rii), was contracted by INDOT to complete the condition evaluation of 225 bridge decks using GPR (ground-pene-trating radar) technology. As a separate study, the contract included using GPR and IR (in-frared) on 10 additional bridge decks. In this session Cherif Amer-Yahia from Rii will discuss the technical side of the project, including data collection, data analysis, and the results of the evaluation. Randy Strain will discuss how these results were used in INDOT’s bridge program maintenance and management.
