Abstract
The most congested area in the city of Greenwood, Indiana, comprises three busy intersections connected by multilane roadways in a triangle shape and located only 300 to 600 feet from each other. The proposed solution constructed in 2018 includes a combination of a multilane roundabout metered by a nearby signal as well as a jug handle to remove left turn movements at the state highway intersection.
