Abstract
Learn about bicycle and pedestrian crashes, how to apply the data results, and updating local bicycle and pedestrian laws. A recent study, conducted by the Northeastern Indiana Regional Coordinating Council (NIRCC) to analyze crash statistics for pedestrians and bicycles in the Fort Wayne Urban Area, will be presented. The utilization of this data in the planning process and how this analysis has been used to draft and gain approval of updated local bicycle/pedestrian ordinances. NIRCC and the City of Fort Wayne will feature their recent successes.
