Abstract
This article introduces Guided Inquiry Learning (GIL), a teaching approach that combines Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), the Flipped Classroom, and Traditional Lectures. GIL starts with direct instruction to ensure students understand key concepts, followed by collaborative peer activities in the classroom where they apply what they have learned, sharing their knowledge with each other. This method helps students stay engaged, understand the material deeply, and work together in a vibrant environment. The article compares GIL with IBL and the Flipped Classroom, highlighting its benefits and addressing challenges. GIL offers a balanced approach that supports students' learning and engagement without requiring extensive preparation before class.
