Abstract
Building Little Saigon: Refugee Urbanism in American Cities and Suburbs by Erica Allen-Kim is a multidisciplinary exploration that integrates perspectives from urban studies, refugee studies, and cultural geography. In this book, Allen-Kim, a second-generation Korean American, draws on her own experiences living near Vietnamese American and Chinese communities. She examines how Little Saigon developed its identity and the ongoing challenges of establishing and sustaining these neighborhoods in American cities and suburbs.
