Starting with a hashtag in response to the killing of Treyvon Martin in 2013, Black Lives Matter grew into a full activist group following the deaths of Eric Garner and Tamir Rice in 2014. This artifact offers a timeline of the history of BLM and considers the current impact and future potential of the movement.
