The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) held the Green Innovation Forum in Tokyo on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. The Forum was started with opening remakrs by Mr. Murata, Chairman of NEDO, regarding NEDO's global development strategies, followed by the remarks on the expectations for international development of green innovation by Mr. Tajima, Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. The morning program included keynote speech by Mr. B.K. Chaturvedi, Member (Energy), Planning Commission Government of India, Dr. Arden L. Bement Jr., Director, Global Policy Reserach Institute, Purdue University, U.S. former Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF), and Mr. Philippe Van de Maele, President, Agence de l'Environnement de la Maitrise de l'Energie (ADEME), France. The representatives from those three countries introduced their respective efforts for green innovation. After the keynote speech, a signing ceremony was held between NEDO and ADEME and a letter of intent for cooperative activities between these organizatoins was concluded.
