Abstract

Integrated project delivery (IPD) is a unique delivery method that involves a collaborative approach among the primary stakeholders. Unlike traditional methods, where parties tend to prioritize their individual interests, IPD aligns everyone's goals for the collective benefit of the project. This approach encourages open communication, shared risk and a collective commitment to success. This study will provide a comprehensive review of the literature, an overview of the IPD delivery structure and a review of case studies comparing and contrasting IPD with traditional methods. Key findings indicate that IPD is still a relatively niche project delivery method but has had great success when applied to suitable projects.
