Abstract

The CIB World Building Congress 2025, held at Purdue University and online from May 19–23, 2025, convened global experts to explore the theme “Sustainable Built Environment – The Role of the Construction Community in Meeting the UN SDGs.” The Congress featured 420 peer-reviewed papers presented across 126 sessions and organized by 41 CIB Working Commissions and Task Groups. This preface outlines the significance of the congress, its international scope, and its role in advancing research and practice in the built environment.
