Abstract
The Associate Librarian for Access Services and Collection Management at Brown University Library requested an analysis of user and bibliographic data for faculty requests in the BorrowDirect and ILLiad systems to provide some insight on possible gaps in the library’s monographic collection from the faculty perspective. They processed and analyzed the data from both of these systems to determine these gaps and find a way to fix them. This paper explains their steps and provides a brief look at the positive feedback on their approach, all of which helped them to achieve a more successful process of collection development and overall efficient library system.
Positive Feedback: Using Interlibrary Loan Transaction Log Data to Inform Collection Development
