Abstract
This paper focuses on aspects that can be looked upon in translating typography found in the urban environment of Dhaka and Chicago, how we can relate and interpret typography with the help of contextual design elements, images as well as historic references. Layers behind perception of typefaces, variation in the geographic location of two cities moreover the cultural differences make it an even more interesting subject matter to examine.
