Rees algebras of linearly presented ideals
Abstract
Let R=k[x1,...,xd] be a polynomial ring and I a height two perfect ideal with a linear presentation matrix. With some additional conditions, either on the dimension d or on the ideal I, we can determine the defining ideal of the Rees algebra R(I) of the ideal I explicitly and we can also show that R(I) is Cohen-Macaulay.
