802.11AC adoption and considerations in wireless capacity

Abstract

This qualitative research study analyzes various industries including higher education, K-12 education, healthcare, conferencing, large enterprise, industrial and their strategic plans to implement IEEE 802.11ac within their organizations. Several observations were made from participants' responses, which contributed to their planning, such as existing infrastructure, cost, recent adoption of IEEE 802.11n, end user bandwidth needs, and client devices.
